Buy a board, plant a tree
When we talked to Burton Australia / New Zealand about a partnership, we both agreed that we wanted something simple, that really spoke to the snowboard community. So we decided that Burton would plant a tree for every board they sold in their "Family Tree" range. We came up with some cool messaging to be attached to the board at the point-of-sale. So future customers know that when they buy a Burton Family Tree board, they're planting a tree in the Snowy Mountains and helping to make a positive contribution to the environment.
Planting trees to keep winter cool
Thredbo have always been a leader in the environmental space and we're proud to partner with them as part of their wider environmental program. We will be planting 1000 trees a year to help regenerate land in the Snowy Mountains.
Books for good
Birdsnest know clothes, and they're a favourite with women all around Australia. They're also based in Cooma, NSW and they care about their home in the Snowy Mountains. As part of their "Books For Good" program they are donating all proceeds from the sale of certain books on their website to help plant trees just down the road from their HQ.
In 2020 they also raised $21160 in a single morning as part of their "Re-hatch Market Sale" enough to plant a whopping 4232 trees.
Keeping it local to the mountains
Doppelmayr are one of the biggest names in lift construction around the world and Keep It Cool is stoked to have them on board as a partner. We're working with them to offset all the emissions generated by the diesel fuel used as part of their Australian operations. We have plans to work on even more initiatives in the future, so watch this space.
Buy beer, plant trees
Capital Brewing are based just up the road from the Snowy Mountains in Canberra. And, they love the getting outdoors as much as they love beer. So, we teamed up with Capital to help give back to the environment with the "Trees For Tomorrow" initiative. We kept the message simple "Buy beer, plant trees". And we're planting 1 beer for every case and 3 trees for every keg sold in the Snowy Mountains over winter. Winter 2021 saw us plant 647 trees. A massive number considering COVID lockdowns saw record low visitation to the mountains. We're at it again for winter 2022 and we can't wait to see how many trees we can plant.
Coffee for good
Pablo & Rustys is well known for their amazing coffee. They're also leaders in running a green operation. To support their larger green initiative, P&R have planted over 4500 trees in the Snowy Mountains. They also supply our volunteer planters with some of their tasty beverages to help put a pep in everyone's step. Stay tuned for more great initiatives with P&R and KIC.
1sqm = 1 tree
